'Mad Money' Host Talks Investing at High School

Jim Cramer visited personal finance classes at the high school.

Madison High School students who have been learning about financial concepts in the classroom recently got to pick the brain of financial analyst and "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer when he came to speak at the school.

Cramer, the host of CNBC's "Mad Money," visited Timothy Maseker's personal finance classes May 2.

Talking to about 65 students, teachers and administrators, Cramer focused on the value of investing, variables that affect stock price, and how investors use his show for information, according to a school news release about the visit.

In a Q-and-A after his presentation, some students asked for his take on specific stocks.

Maseker said Cramer's visit "was an invaluable experience for the students, allowing them to listen, learn and interact with a professional within the financial services industry."

Principal Greg Robertson said the level of student participation showed how much they appreciated the opportunity.

“Jim Cramer was one of the most dynamic and engaging speakers we have had at MHS in recent years," Robertson said. "As a highly regarded analyst and TV show host, Mr. Cramer’s presentation was inspirational, informative, and highly entertaining.”

Robert Weck, the father of one of the students in Maseker’s personal finance class, Kelly Weck, helped make the visit happen.
