Exciting First Day Kicks Off Classes in Madison

'They all seem happy,' one crossing guard observed.

Madison students arrived at the borough's five schools Friday morning for the first day of classes.

"They all seem happy," said crossing guard Aggie Yuliano. "It's nice to be back."

Dave Coster, the new assistant principal at Madison Junior School, welcomed students as they arrived on Brittin Street. Coster, who taught at Madison High School for four years, said the day's orientation program would get students familiar with the rules and programs at the school, and get the students excited for the upcoming year.
