31-year-old resident accused of vehicle burglaries and credit card fraud.

A 31-year-old Madison resident was arrested last week on burglary and credit card fraud charges for allegedly going into borough residents' cars and taking items, including credit cards he later used, authorities aid.

Ryan Rhinesmith was arrested Aug. 19 and charged with three counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, three counts of credit card theft, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, and two counts of fraudulent use of credit cards, Detective Kenneth Shannon said in a news release Wednesday.

The arrest came as police were investigating a trio of motor vehicle burglaries this month. Three Madison residents reported motor vehicle burglaries between Aug. 6 and 19, and two of the three residents said their credit cards had been used.
