NY Jets Helipad Hearing Postponed

Application to build helipad next to training facility in Florham Park is expected to be heard in June.

An application to construct a helipad at 1 Jets Drive in Florham Park won't be heard by the Florham Park Planning Board until June.

A Thursday hearing on the proposal was postponed again and is scheduled to be heard at the board's June 24 meeting, board secretary Marlene Rawson said.

Hundreds of neighbors in Madison are petitioning to stop the project. Opponents cite concerns about noise and safety, and say it's unnecessary because Morristown Municipal Airport is close by.
