Continues dominating season, following up on NJAC title.
Aaron Shinn added another title to his stellar outdoor track season at the Morris County Championships, held at Boonton High School on Thursday. Shinn's pole vault of 13 feet, 6 inches was the top mark at the meet, coming in six inches higher than Randolph's Ali Hashemi. It was Shinn's second first-place in a major meet during a week's span. Shinn was also the top pole vaulter in the NJAC Small Division meet. In that meet, he went over the bar at exactly 13 feet. The Dodgers' boys team came in tied for 15th at the county meet, on the strength of Shinn's 10 points in the event. Kyle Flyer placed seventh in the 800-meter run, coming in at a time of 2:00.91. Dodgers participated in small-schools division.
Aaron Shinn was the major bright spot for Madison High School in the NJAC Small Division track meet at Wallkill Valley Regional High School over the weekend. Shinn registered the lone first-place finish in for the Dodgers, with a pole vault height of 13 feet. Jack Mahoney came in fourth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:32.86 for the boys team, who came in at 11th place out of 20 teams with a score of 16. Kyle Flyer also scored for the Dodgers with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meter relay at a time of 2:00.95. His time of 4:36.04 in the 1,600 meter dash was good for just ninth place. Distance medley relay and pole vault relay teams set marks.
Two Madison High School records were broken at the Millburn Invitation Relays on Saturday by the boys track and field team. Carter Buxton, Kyle Flyer, Greg Zitelli, and Jack Mahoney beat a 20-year-old school record in the distance medley relay by 10 seconds, and Aaron Shinn and Chris Conley combined for a new school record of 21' 6" in the pole vault relay.

Grace Marotta and Casey Reeve proved to be a powerful duo, placing together in three events.
The Madison Dodgers girls and boys track team competed on Saturday at Madison High School's 7th annual Dodgertown Relays. Grace Marotta and Casey Reeve dominated in girls throwing, together earning three medal-winning top-six finishes, while R.J. Graddy tied a personal best and led two boys relays in jumping events to top three finishes. Graddy tied with Richard Sodeke of Hanover Park for the best long jumps of the day, both hitting the 19-feet, 9-inch mark. Graddy's jump, combined with Sean Munkel's jump of 16 feet, 6 inches, earned Madison fourth place and four points in the long jump relay. Graddy did not stop at long-jump though–he went on to triple jump 39 feet, 3 inches, which was the best individual result of the Dodgertown Relays. …

Dodgers tested skills at Drew University
The Morris County Relay Championships at Drew University were the first meet of 2010 for Madison and also the first meet that points were kept and overall winners decided. The Madison boys team finished 12th with five points, while the girls tied for 11th with four points. The Madison boys distance team started the evening off with a fifth out of 15th place finish, earning them 2 points. Sophomore Jack Mahoney, senior Jakob Steinmetz, senior Greg Zitelli, and senior Kyle Flyer ran the event in 11:22.21. Randolph's boys and girls teams took first in four out of the first five events of the meet–and second in the fifth, establishing the Rams as the team to beat.
