Police Seek Identities of Pair in Armed Robbery Attempt
Surveillance photos of a man and a woman who police say were involved in an armed robbery attempt at a Cook Avenue business have been released.
The Madison Police Department Division of Investigations released surveillance images Friday of a man and a woman who police say were involved in an attempted armed robbery at Giro Express last week. The man entered the money transfer store on Cook Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, displayed a silver handgun and demanded money from an employee behind the counter, police said. He fled empty-handed as the employee called police, police said. The woman, who police have said was an accomplice, was seen with the man outside another Madison business prior to the robbery attempt and, at Giro Express, talked with the employee and then left the store seconds before the gunman walked in. Why don't you call the board of ed and ask them if any schools were locked down since they are the ones who make that decision. Also, if your not happy with the nixle alerts than cancel your subscription. And while your at it the next time there is an armed robbery why don't you ask the police to stop everything they are doing so you can be notified.   more ›
