Coffeenut, sorry to hear about your tickets. You asked if the police officer was serving andRead More protecting by giving you a ticket for having your cellphone in hand, adjusting the volume, and by giving you a ticket for not having your proof of insurance card with you. Firstly, the police officer was serving and protecting all the other drivers on the road as we all know any use of a cell phone while driving is dangerous and illegal. Secondly, the law mandates an insurance ID CARD. I misplaced mine and had a duplicate sent to me one from my ins co. as that is the law. Thirdly, the prosecutor sees all charges prior to court - if it was illegal to give you a ticket, as the prosecutor told you, then that office should have contacted you. I did some research - it was a legal ticket. Thank you because I now know I MUST have an ins ID card. Remember, they didnt make the laws, they are hired to enforce them. I have seen people be verbally abusive to a police officer who was just ordering his lunch at a deli. The crap they have to take daily, just because they wear that uniform, is shameful. Stop blaming every cop because you received tickets.

Joey Joe I make no comments when Grace contributes to a thread with honest meaningful postings.Read More However with 8100 postings I find that at least 4000 of them are a succession of one liners with other airheads that alter the course of conversation about the topics. It is a news effort here, not facebook or twitter. 8100 postings! That is about 4X more than any other super frequent poster. You have only posted 1815 times.

Speedy trial? Define speedy. Charles Manson and company committed the Tate/LaBianca murders inRead More 1969. The trial wasn’t until two years later. It took over a year before Jack Ruby went on trial for shooting Oswald. And the entire nation saw him do that on TV. The infamous Boston Strangler was caught in early 1964 but wasn’t sentenced until 1967. Its only on Law & Order that it goes from commission of the crime to sentencing in an hour.

Not Domino April 15, 2014 at 01:50 pm
Sad but true, Clay. With these guys behind bars, others will move in to fill the gap. Where there isRead More big easy money to be made, someone will try to make it. Remove the demand, and the supply will fade away. That's the only way to make a long term change.

Crime courtesy of the highway system. Great job to the Officers in removing this piece of garbageRead More from Main Street. I wish you both a speedy recovery. I hope that the lawmakers eventually make the decision to allow tasers in NJ. The doc is guilty of a crime, makes him a criminal. Criminals are no role models for any civilizedRead More community. He doesn't need a public flogging, he just needs to be gone from the school, and he will be soon. Stay tuned. Christian: As I said, I don't know the partner or partners, if they're not clean, find out and get rid of them. Ken Dahl claimed to have overheard the partners father talking about things before the news - ask him to pursue that with the Feds. I don't believe in chiros anyway, so one less quack will be even better! Timothy J: Since you cannot defend the doctors crime or address the issue of whether he should be on the town payroll looking after kids, you choose to attack me and my parents. Bravo, it shows your character and the "grace" that Nancy so fervently wishes for - and in all her grace she praised your personal attack. Wonderful, you are both lowlifes and I'm glad never to have known you - that's the beauty of anonymity. Yes, you're welcome to have the last word.

Oh dear, Max. Quite the victim. And rather prone to hyperbole. Lowlife? Really. Well, I'm gratefulRead More there are people of compassion out there, and I really hope that, at a low time in your life, you find yourself surrounded by people who would show you compassion. I know I would. So, I think this conversation has run its course.
BeardedMike April 21, 2014 at 08:11 am
Well said Nancy. I've sparred with Max several times on Patch. He can't avoid the hyperbole. I'mRead More not even sure he understands that he has a tendency to generalize and negatively label people with whom he disagrees. Still, I'm with you: I hope people treat Max better when he is at a low point, instead of labeling him as such.

I see the self-esteem police have taken over the Patch, just as they have taken over publicRead More education. This bank-robbing loser was put in the Morris County "Correctional Facility." We can't say "jail" any more? Bad for inmates' self-esteem? Just like in school where the standards are lowered so everyone gets on the honor roll and the national honor society, every athlete gets a trophy, and no one takes a "test." Now it's an "assessment." "Correctional facility"....what bu****it!!!

How about crimes against the environment and working people. How about the legal chicanery of theRead More Supreme Court; corporations are people? How about the crime of being above the law or changing the law to legalize misconduct and policy of criminal actions by our leaders? We are all becoming victims of an uncaring unjust system that puts individual rights of property and corporate greed above the people and the future of life here on Earth.

Isn't it about time that banks locate their cameras 6' off the floor and closer to the faces ofRead More their "customers"? I realize that we are all using funny money, so the Fed will just "print" more, but someone could get hurt or killed during these bank robberies. Also, if Patch would like us to try to ID these perps, couldn't they allow their page be zoomed-in by the viewer? /end rant

willnj - ya I guess its far too much to ask for timely information from a state with a huge tax billRead More every year. NJ should absoluty be state of the art in everthying with as much money as they get. But instead all that money goes to the 100k pensions they all payout.
Wilnj March 31, 2014 at 02:42 am
@Madison - I so no graphics on that site that would given anywhere near the information thatRead More contained in the press releases. @John - While I agree with you, the pensions aren't going away so demanding more services is just going to add on to the tab, not replace something else.

From NBC news: Middlesex County prosecutors said Timothy Puskas, 38, is being charged with murderRead More for the death of William McCaw, a 22-year-old Kean University student who was found Feb. 15 outside a New Brunswick home.
