266-Year-Old Church, Restaurant Deals for Students This Week

Planned cemetery tour, return of once-a-week garbage pickup also this week.

College Restaurant Week: Twenty-one local restaurants and eateries are participating in Madison’s first College Restaurant Week, Monday through Sunday. Students from Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and the College of St. Elizabeth will be able to take advantage of dining discounts throughout the week. The Downtown Development Commission and Madison Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring the event.

Church's History:  The Madison Historical Society will present resident Bob Garman, who will recount the story of “The Presbyterian Church of Madison – 266 Years of Christian Witness.” Garman’s presentation will take place at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Chase Room of the Madison Public Library.  Light refreshments available from 7 p.m.

In partnership with the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts, Garman will be conducting a tour of the Hillside Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, focused on “Madison and the Civil War."

Once-a-Week Garbage Pickup returns this week.

Twitter for Beginners: "Twitter for Beginners" will be presented at the Madison Public Library at 7 p.m. Thursday. The free program is open to the public. Registration is required. Call the library at 973-377-0722 ext. 2 to save a space.
