To the Editor:

The generosity of Madison never stops – a huge thank you to all of you who donated their coats – for the annual .

The culmination of the coat drive was the sorting of the coats to enable quick distribution to many agencies across the state trying to help keep some of our less fortunate neighbors warm.  Elena and her team worked for two hours to sort men’s, women’s and youth coats, bag them and load over 80 bags on the delivery vehicles. On Saturday, Dec. 17 across the state, Jersey Cares volunteers delivered over 40,000 coats. Hundreds of volunteer hours were necessary to coordinate this donation effort.

The girls have vowed to collect more coats next year realizing that all of us have to lend a helping hand – or in this case donate a coat – to our neighbors.   Thanks again Madison.
