Where to See 4th of July Fireworks

Looking for July Fourth fireworks? Displays are planned for Wednesday night in Chatham and Florham Park, and parades on Main Street and Ridgedale Avenue are scheduled for the morning.

Here's what you need to know if you're going.

Chatham

In Chatham, fireworks begin after sunset at . Gates will open for the fireworks display at 7 p.m., with entertainment beginning at 7:30 p.m. Rain date is Thursday.

In the morning, the Chatham Borough Fire Department is scheduled to host the 58th annual Independence Day Celebration, rain or shine.

The Chatham Independence Day Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Hillside Avenue, and travels west to the middle school.

Motorists should expect closures along Main Street from 10 a.m. to noon.

Florham Park

The Florham Park fireworks show is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Emmett Field on the Florham Park municipal campus, 111 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park. Rain date is Saturday.

A flag-raising ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Firehouse #1 on Brooklake Road and the parade is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., rain or shine, at Ridgedale Avenue and Brooklake Road.

A family picnic on the Borough Hall lawn from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. includes water rides, games, a petting zoo, pony rides and a dunk tank.

A social garden for adults over 21 who purchase a commemorative pint glass runs from 12 to 3 p.m., with live music by StreetHassle.

Tickets for refreshments and ride admission can be purchased for $1 each, and items cost between 1 and 3 tickets.
