Heat Wave: Will It Hit 100?

The thermometer in front of showed the temperature at 99 degrees at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

To help Madison keep cool and ease the expected strain on the electric grid, the Madison Community Pool is extending its hours, the borough and the Madison Electric Utility is asking residents to turn off electronics from 3 to 6 p.m., raise ACs to 77 degrees during that time, and avoid using major appliances until after 7 p.m.
