Sweeney Lacrosse Mini-Camp Sign-Ups Open

Clinic available for boys and girls grades 3-8.

The New Year is approaching, and that means longtime lacrosse coach Mark Sweeney and his wife, Sue, will hold their annual clinic.

Sweeney’s Triple H Sports Lacrosse Mini-Camp co-sponsored by the Madison Recreation Department, will take place Sundays beginning Jan. 29, and with sessions on Feb. 5, 12, and 19 at the Madison High School gym.

The Mini-Camp is open to girls in grades 3-8 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., and for boys in grades 3–8 from 1-2:30 p.m..

The cost is $120 for six hours of instruction.

Players will hone their skills through drills and scrimmage play with an emphasis on stick protection, shooting, feeding, dodging, using picks, body positioning, checking, and goalie play.

The clinic is perfect for the veteran player looking to take their game to the next level, as well as novice players wanting to learn the fun, fast, action-packed game of lacrosse.

The girls clinic is run by Megan Anderson, MHS girls varsity head coach and Sue Sweeney, Madison Junior Girls Lacrosse co-founder.

The boys clinic run is run by Mark Sweeney, MHS boys varsity lacrosse coach.
