Madison High School's volleyball team fell to Sterling in the state finals over the weekend.
Sterling beat Madison, 25-18, 25-22, Saturday afternoon at William Paterson University.
Madison coach Steve Fenton told The Star-Ledger the Dodgers "fought hard until the end."
Madison won its fifth straight regular season Conference Championship this year, and advanced to the state "Final Four" for the third time in four seasons. Madison beat River Dell at home to reach the finals.
