Rex Ryan Relieved Dodgers Not on Jets Schedule

The head coach of the New York Jets gave championship football team a shout-out Tuesday night, saying he requested his NFL team face Madison and Summit high schools in the coming season, but then had second thoughts about going up against the Dodgers, according to a Star-Ledger report.

On a conference call about the season lineup, Rex Ryan joked to reporters he requested Madison and Summit, but they didn't appear on the schedule, the report said.

But then, he thought, that might be for the best.
