Madison Softball's All-Conference Picks, Seniors Recognized

Graduates will pursue field hockey, physics in college.

Several members of the Madison High School softball team were named to all-conference teams this season.

Madison, which finished the season 15-8, was represented by the following players, who were picked by coaches of the seven teams in the conference:

1st Team All Conference

  •  Stephanie Deeb – pitcher
  •  Tori Ellis – infielder
  •  Alise Bassolino – infielder

 2nd Team All Conference

  •  Mackie Goodwin – infielder
  •  Jessica Epstein – outfielder

Honorable Mention

  •  Kristina Qualben – catcher
  •  Kelly Quinn – outfielder

Seniors

The two seniors on the Madison High School softball team were recognized during a Senior Night celebration in May that coincided with a 7-5 win over Chatham.

The seniors, captains Tori Ellis and Izzy Kennedy, are destined for college in the fall.

Ellis will  be attending Bentley University and playing field hockey. Izzy Kennedy will be attending Rutgers University pursuing a physics major.

Dave Carver of Madison Softball said the youth league joins high school Coach Lenny Kunz in congratulating "all of our alumni on their outstanding accomplishments on the softball field."
