Madison Field Hockey Advances in Tourney

Girls soccer earns No. 2 seed.

The Madison girls soccer team has posted 11 shutouts this season, rumbling to an 11-4-1 mark heading into the North 2, Group II tournament. The Dodgers successful regular season has earned them the No. 2 seed and first round bye in the upcoming postseason tournament.

Led by top goal scorer Catherine Zimmerman and goalie Meg Calcaterra, the Dodgers will get set to face the winner of McNair vs. Rutherford. Madison will host the winner on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Like the girls, the Madison boys soccer team will also compete for a North 2, Group II title. This Dodger club (seeded fifth) will host 12-seed Ridgefield Park on Tuesday, Nov. 1

The Madison girls field hockey team, also seeded fifth, will look to add some more hardware to their already successful season as they compete for a North 1, Group II championship. Madison advanced from the first round after dismantling Morris Hills on Friday, 7-0, according to NJ.com. Madison is 16-3 this season.
