Mackenzie Ellis Gives Dodger Softball a Lift

After a tough start to the season, the softball team has gotten a shot in the arm, courtesy of senior first baseman Mackenzie Ellis.

Ellis’ bat helped the Dodgers to two big wins over Dover and The Academy of Saint Elizabeth, improving their record to 3-6 on the season.

Ellis has been a force in the Madison lineup all season, and last week was no different.

Against Dovers, Ellis helped Madison to a 14-0 win by going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, two runs scored and one walk.

A day later, Ellis went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run, driving in four runs and scoring three times as the Dodgers punished St. Elizabeth, 22-2, earning their third win of the season.
