Madison Grad Talks Rutgers, All-Star Classic Win

Rutgers recruit and Madison High School grad Justin Goodwin scored two touchdowns in the 54th annual North vs. South All-Star High School Football Classic Monday night at Kean University, according to NJ.com.

North won 54-8, and the running back easily could have been the MVP, Rutgers football recruiting reporter Todderick Hunt wrote on NJ.com.

When asked what he sees as his skills as a running back, Goodwin said his vision and ability to hit the hole.

Goodwin told Patch playing in the All-Star game was an "amazing honor."

“It’s an amazing honor to be here representing my other teammates. I wouldn’t be here without them,” he said. “We worked hard all weekend, and we really wanted this win.”

Goodwin was expected to arrive at Rutgers Tuesday to get ready for the season.

In December, Madison High School's football team won its third straight state title.
