Dodgers Take Aim at School Record for Consecutive Wins

Win over Parsippany would extend Madison's streak to 39.

Madison High School's 31-26 win over Dover in its season opener last Friday gave the Dodgers their 38th consecutive victory.

The win continued the longest current win streak in the state, The Star-Ledger reported, and it also tied the Madison High School record for consecutive wins, according to a post on the Dodger Nation Facebook page.

They can break the school record this weekend when Madison faces Parsippany, 1 p.m. Saturday at home.

Coach Chris Kubik told The Star-Ledger the team would be ready.

Reporter Connor Hughes said the team, which has won the state championship the last three years in a row, "may be one of the most motivated defending champs I've ever seen."
