Local golfers Conor Casey and Craig Lindsey are representing the Rose City this week at the 91st New Jersey Golf Association Open Championship at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal.

Twenty-two-year-old amateur Casey, from Madison Golf Club, shot a five-over par 76 in Tuesday's first round. He came back strongly on Wednesday in the second round, carding a one-over 72 on the par-71, 6,938-yard layout. Casey made the cut with a six-over two-round total of 148, which put him in a nine-way tie for 35th with the third and final round to be played today.

"I definitely had a better round [Wednesday]," said Casey. "My goal is to finish in the top 20."
