Parking Hours in Madison Extended for Holiday Season
Two-hour parking OK in one-hour spaces on Waverly Place, Main Street.
If you love shopping Madison, there's a chance to spend extra time doing that this holiday season.
Two-hour parking is allowed in all one-hour parking spaces on Waverly Place and Main Street through the end of the year, according to a resolution approved by Madison's governing body this month.
The Borough Council approved the extra hour of parking from Nov. 22 through Dec. 31 at the recommendation of Assistant Business Administrator Jim Burnet, the Nov. 13 resolution says.

Parade restrictions
There will be parking restrictions on Main Street and Waverly Place starting 4 p.m. Friday for Madison's 35th Annual Christmas Parade, Madison police have advised merchants.

Police asked merchants to advise customers and staff that parking will not be allowed on until the program has ended, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
