Vote for Madison's Fall Athlete of the Year!

Boro's best led their Dodger teams to autumn glory.

It was a banner fall season for athletes and their teams, from football and soccer to field hockey and volleyball, and Patch wants your vote to select our Fall Athlete of the Year!

It was difficult to improve on perfection, but All-Morris running back Justin Goodwin and the Dodgers football squad did just that, posting another spotless 12-0 record capped by in the NJSIAA North Jersey 2 Group II state championship game.

Anchored by All-Morris goalkeeper Matt Gilbert, the senior-laden boys soccer team leveraged its experience to forge a 13-7 record and reached the final of the North 2 Group II sectional playoffs.

The girls soccer team turned in a sterling 15-6-1 mark thanks in large part to Catherine Zimmerman, whose 22 goals and 14 assists led the Dodgers on a deep post-season run to the Group II sectional title.

On the volleyball court, senior striker JoEllen Kentner spearheaded the attack in leading Madison to a 24-4 record and a berth in the Group 1 sectional final.

Field hockey goalie Caroline McCabe was brilliant in net, posting 10 shutouts and  backstopping Madison to a record of 17-4 and the second round of the North Jersey Section 1, Group II state tournament.
