Madison Math Teacher, Coach Gone From District, Reason Unknown

Frank Nunez was replaced by a 'long term' substitute on May 21.

A well-known Madison High School teacher and coach stopped working for the district last in May and has been replaced by a long-term substitute teacher.

The reason behind the move isn’t known, however, according to dailyrecord.com.

UPDATE: Madison School District Superintendent Michael Rossi deflected questions to Board of Education attorney Vito Gagliardi Thursday, but said Nunez's current absence has nothing to do with "sleeping with a student."

The Madison Board of Education approved Nicole Peotter as a long term substitute of Mathematics at its May 27 meeting, according to the board minutes, which can be seen here. Poetter began on May 21, replacing Frank Nunez, the minutes show.

According to the dailyrecord.com report, Gagliardi confirmed Nunez, also the school’s varsity soccer coach, was no longer working for the district. Gagliardi only said it’s a confidential personnel matter, and would not comment further, the report said.
