Andersson Scores Twice as Dodgers Fall

Three-goal second period leads to Dodgers demise.

A three-goal second period helped the Mount Olive ice hockey team spoil yet another impressive performance from Madison forward Erik Andersson, as the Dodgers fell, 3-2, Monday night at Mennen Arena.

Andersson, who has a league leading 22 goals through nine games this season, got Madison out to a 1-0 lead with nine minutes remaining in the first period when he scored on an assist from Peter Andersson and Ryan Hoover.

But penalties in the second period doomed Madison, as Mt. Olive's Ryan Shakespeare scored back-to-back power-play goals within a two minute span, the second coming with just over nine minutes to play in the period.
