The Madison Education Foundation is gearing up for the 8th annual Madison 5K Run/Walk/Kids’ Fun Run on Sunday, May 1 at .
This year’s event is expected to attract more than 400 participants.
“The Madison 5K event has become a critical fundraiser for the Foundation and will help fund grants at all five district schools,” says Foundation President Anne Hargrave, in a release. “Last year the event raised almost $30,000 and we are hoping that businesses interested in showing their support for educational enrichment in Madison schools will consider a sponsorship."

The organizers have several levels of sponsorships available, from $250 to $3,000 and up.
The Madison Education Foundation awards grants that empower the faculty and staff to inspire and challenge students throughout Madison’s K-12 district, above and beyond the district budget. Since its inception in 2003, the foundation has provided grants totaling over $345,000. In December, the Foundation awarded 22 grants totaling $45,500 to all five district schools.
