Drew Cancels Tuesday Classes

Musharraf's scheduled appearance postponed.

Because of extended power outages throughout Madison, Drew University has cancelled classes for Tuesday.

In addition, the Drew Forum event featuring former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf originally scheduled for 8 p.m. tomorrow night has been postponed. The university is attempting to reschedule the event, which is part of a series marking the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Although power is being restored throughout the borough tonight, school officials report on the school’s website that they are “cautiously optimistic that electricity could be restored to the campus as early as tomorrow morning.”
