Boardman to Play in All-Star Football Game

Senior anchored MHS offensive line for state champs..

Madison High School senior Michael Boardman has been selected to play in the 17th Paul Robeson All-Star Football Classic June 11 at Robeson Stadium in East Orange.

Boardman, a tackle, anchored the Dodgers' offensive line on the way to a 12-0 record and the North 2 Group 2 state championship.

Boardman, who could play offense or defense, was one of several Dodgers nominated to the all-star team by head coach Chris Kubik.

"Mike has been a solid player the last two years for us," Kubik said. "He helped solidify both our offensive and defensive lines by his hard work and physical play.  He brought personality and toughness to the lines, and he was also one of the many characters on our offensive line and will be difficult to replace."
