Madison Residents Gave Most to Christie in General Election

Madison residents who donated to the gubernatorial candidates did so in larger numbers for governor-elect Chris Christie, but donated on a greater per-person basis for Independent candidate Chris Daggett.

In total, 41 residents donated $35,950 to Christie for his general election campaign. Fifteen residents gave $16,700 to Daggett's campaign, an average of $1,113.33. Gov. Jon S. Corzine only received four donations from Madison, totalling $1,425.
