Madison Council Members Sworn In, Assigned to Committees

Madison council members Robert Catalanello and Patrick Rowe were sworn in at the governing body's Wednesday reorganization meeting.

The Republicans ran together in the November election. Catalanello is starting his second term. Rowe joins the Borough Council after having served as vice president of the Board of Education.

Councilwoman Carmela Vitale, the council president last year, nominated Councilman Bob Landrigan to be council president in 2014, and the council unanimously agreed.

Mayor Bob Conley announced the chairs and other members of Council Standing Committees for 2014:

Finance and Borough Clerk: Benjamin Wolkowitz/Robert Landrigan

Public Safety: Astri J. Baillie/Benjamin Wolkowitz

Public Works and Engineering: Catalanello/Carmela Vitale

Utilities: Carmela Vitale/Patrick Rowe

Health: Robert Landrigan/Astri J. Baillie

Community Affairs: Patrick Rowe/Robert Catalanello
