Incumbents, Sheriff's Officer Seek Borough Council Seats

Carmela Vitale and Robert Landrigan will run on the Democratic ticket against GOP challenger Mark Chiarolanza for two seats.

Three candidates, including two incumbents, have filed to run for the two open Madison Borough Council seats.

Incumbents Carmela Vitale and Robert Landrigan will run on the Democratic ticket against Republican challenger Mark Chiarolanza, a sergeant with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.

Landrigan, the Borough Council president, announced in February he was switching to the Democratic ticket to run with Vitale.

The deadline to file was 4 p.m. Monday.
