7 Redevelopers to Interview With GVR Committee

Board of Ed, Borough Council and administrators met Friday afternoon to discuss the process for reviewing applicants.

Seven of the 15 developers who expressed interest in purchasing and developing the former Green Village Road School property will be interviewing with officials starting next week "to further discuss their qualifications" for developing the five-acre property, according to a statement from the committee overseeing the selection process.

The joint Committee for the Development of the Green Village Road School Property, which is comprised of borough and district administrators and elected municipal and school district officials, met in executive session Friday afternoon to discuss their process for reviewing the potential developers.

  • Avalon Bay Communities Inc., Arlington, Va.
  • Continental Properties Inc., Chatham, N.J.
  • Jonathan Rose Companies, New York, N.Y.
  • KRE Kushner Real Estate Group, Bridgewater, N.J.
  • LCOR Incorporated, New York, N.Y.
  • Mill Creek Residential Trust Inc, Bedminster, N.J.
  • Roseland Property Company, Short Hills, N.J.

The interview process is designed to help determine which applicants will be asked to submit formal proposals, officials said.

The interview meetings are scheduled for April 24, April 30 and May 2 at 4 p.m. at . The said the committee will immediately go into executive session for those meetings.
