The League of Women Voters Chatham Madison Area will host a candidate forum for the candidates running for Mayor and for Madison Borough Council in the upcoming general election. The forum will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Madison Public Library, 39 Keep Street, Madison.

The two candidates running for mayor on November 8, 2011 are Robert Conley and incumbent Mary Anna N. Holden.

Two seats on the Madison Borough Council for three year terms are also up for election.  Candidates running for Borough Council are Martin Barbato, Robert Landrigan, Robert D. McDowell and Carmela Vitale.

The format for the forum will include opening and closing statements by the candidates and written and oral questions submitted by the audience members.  Michelle Bobrow , a member to the LWVNJ State Board and a trained moderator, will preside over the forum.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.  The League of Women Voters Chatham Madison Area is a non-partisan, non-profit organizations whose primary purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government.  The League does not support or oppose any political party or candidate.  For information, call 862-812-9555.
