This spring the Health Department is partnering with the Chatham Mayors Wellness Campaign on the “Know Your Numbers” Healthy Lifestyle Challenge. The Chatham Mayors Wellness campaign also invites Madison residents to enroll in “Know Your Numbers”.

“The goal of this challenge is to have our citizens ‘Know Your Numbers’ and reduce critical health indicators including resting heart rate, BMI, blood pressure, waist circumference and cholesterol,” Chatham Borough Mayor Nelson Vaughan said. Dr. Tobi Ippolito, Internist and Co-Chair of the Chatham campaign added, “We felt that our challenge this year is to target those health indicators that dramatically impact a person’s health. We want our community exercising more, eating properly and living healthier more active lifestyles; and we want them to know and understand their numbers.” Madison Mayor Mary-Anna Holden added, “It's time for residents to stop the excuses. We've planned your appointed day for you on June 2. If you haven't had your heart health or cholesterol levels checked in a while, here's a professional, low-cost answer to your busy schedule. I know of too many people who learn they have a treatable or manageable condition that has caught them completely by surprise. And if you are so certain you're fit, then sign up for the confirming evidence! We care about our residents and want them to thoroughly enjoy this long overdue summer season.”
