Questions for the Candidates: 1. What's more important, what a person says or what they do. e.g., Ms. Baillie keeps saying that she wants to keep our property taxes low, but when she was previously on council she raised the rates by 45%. That's a compounded rate of 6% per year for the years she was in the majority on council. 2. Ms. Baillie keeps talking about peace, love and harmony, yet she bashes the current council every chance she gets. Can she explain how she's suddenly going to become a Paragon of Bipartisanship after she's relentlessly alienated her future peers? 3. Can anyone tell us how much our tax bills have increased because of the $30M of borrowing done by Ms. Baillie during her initial stint on council. Answer - over $2M per year just for debt service.

cont. 4. Can anyone tell us how much their tax bill has increased because of the money borrowed for the MRC turf fields. Correct Answer is - $0. Volunteers have been raising the money to cover the debt service. 5. Which of the above (#s 3 & 4) was a better deal for the Madison Tax Payers - Contrary to Urban Legend, it's the later, although Ms. Baillie and the Dems would have you believe that the $3.5M for the fields, which pales in comparison to the over $30M the Dems borrowed, is going to send Madison into receivership. 6. How much did Ms. Baillie add to the average taxpayer's burden during her 9 years on council? Some have estimated it to be as high as $2,500 to 3,000 per homeowner, when you include the tax rate and utility rate increase she approved as a member of the majority. 7. Final Question - Does anyone think we can afford three more years of Ms. Baillie, especially as a member of a council majority, and if so, why?

Why don't you do it yourself Truthgirl? Then when you're done with that ask your guy Hoover why he thinks its a good idea to run on his 40% success rate at the BoH.

The Truth Squad will be represented. Glad to see you have been given your marching orders for the final two weeks - spread the health department meme far and wide. It's a shame Astri has her hit squad out trashing the good work of the Board of Health. But it does show that all the bipartisan, kinder/gentler Madison council she's been spewing is just more politician BS to get elected. So what we are left with is her pathetic record on soaking the Madison taxpayers for her vanity projects and bad decisions. By all means - Three More Years!
