A 32-year-old Boonton woman was charged with shoplifting after she allegedly tried to steal more than $300 worth of food items and health care products from a borough supermarket, police said.

Erica Minzer was arrested last Thursday by Officer Paul Papamarkos after Whole Foods' loss prevention unit let police know they had an alleged shoplifter in custody, Detective Kenneth Shannon said in a news release.

Minzer allegedly hid the shoplifted items in her bag, police said.

Minzer was lodged in the Morris County jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
