Two Purses Stolen From Stop & Shop Carts on Same Day

One victim's credit cards later were used outside Madison, police said.

Two patrons of the Madison Stop & Shop reported their purses were stolen on the same day last month, borough police said.

Both patrons shopped at the supermarket Dec. 27 and unintentionally left their purses in a shopping cart. One victim’s credit cards later were used at several locations outside Madison, according to a police news release.

The Madison Police Detective Bureau is investigating. Anyone with information can call Detective Paul Kosakowski at 973-593-3007.
