Police Blotter: Two Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

Both arrests came on May 16.

On May 16, police arrested Tammy Schulman, 42 of Summit, and charged her with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Schulman for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Schulman was also issued a motor vehicle summons for making an improper u-turn.

On May 16, police arrested Matthew Clements, 19 of North Plainfield, and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Clements for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Clements was also issued a motor vehicle summons for speeding.

The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 20 medical emergencies last week. The department investigated 12 motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
