Police Blotter: Resident's Call Leads to Arrest

Chatham man had an outstanding warrant.

On May 29, police arrested Michael Wisneski, 38 of Chatham, on the strength of a $188 warrant. Police initially stopped Wisneski in the Pomeroy Road area after an alert resident reported him acting suspicious and called police headquarters to report it. After running a computer check on his name, police were alerted that there was an active arrest warrant for Wisneski. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to the authorities of Wanaque Municipal court pending a court appearance.

On May 29, police arrested Lorenzo Brown, 47 of Morristown, and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Brown for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was driving under the influence of a control dangerous substance. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to a family member pending a mandatory court appearance. Brown was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to maintain a lane.

The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 16 medical emergencies last week. The department investigated 11 vehicle crashes during the same period.
