Police Blotter: PD Makes Two Separate Drug Arrests

Multiple DUI arrests also made.

On June 23, police arrested Danielle Destefano, 20 of East Hanover, and James Giordano, 25 of Livingston, and charged them with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped them after observing the vehicle they were operating leave Boro owned property on Dwyer Street. It was determined they were in possession of narcotics. They were transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were release pending a mandatory court appearance.

On June 27, police arrested Erica Preno-Chatrary, 18, and Jason Panas, 28, both of Philadelphia, and charged them with possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, being under the influence of a control dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Panas for motor vehicle violation. It was determined that they were in possession of narcotics and under the influence of narcotics. They were both transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were released pending a mandatory court appearance. Panas was also issued a motor vehicle summons for speeding.

On June 23, police arrested Olivier Blanco-Rojas, 45, on the strength of $264 traffic warrant issued by Fanwood Boro Municipal court. Police ran a computer check on the license plate of the vehicle Rojas was driving and were alerted there was a warrant for his arrest. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released on bail pending a mandatory court appearance.

On June 23, police arrested Karolina Scutari, 36 of Cranford, and charged her with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Scutari for a motor vehicle violation. It wa determined she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After Processing she was released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Scutari was also issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to maintain a lane.

On June 24, police arrested Dan Stephenson, 54 of Madison, and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Stephenson for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. Stephenson was also issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.

On June 26, police arrested Christopher Goggins, 53 of Madison, and charged him with driving under the influence. Police initially stopped Goggins for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After Processing he was release to a family member. Goggins was also issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.

The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 15 medical emergencies during this past week.

The department investigated six crashes during the same period.
