Police Blotter: Pair Charged with Narcotics Possession

Virginia man charged with shoplifting on Main Street.

On Feb. 24, police arrested Alexander Pelham Webb, 20 of Short Hills, and Zachary Larsen, 20 of Columbia, Md., and charged them with possession of a schedule 1 narcotic and possession of marijuana. Police responded to Drew University to assist Drew Public Safety officers who initially stopped the adults while on campus. It was determined they were in possession of narcotics. They were both transported to headquarters for processing. After processing they were released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 23, police arrested Eladio Lopez, 25 of Madison, and charged him with criminal mischief. Police initially stopped Lopez after a window of an apartment building was broken. It was determined Lopez broke the window. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 24, police arrested Cephas Pritelett, 32 of Newark, on the strength of a $1,259 traffic warrant. Police ran a computer check on Pritchett and was alerted he was wanted for failure to appear. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to the authorities of Union Township for a court appearance.

On Feb. 24, police arrested Chistian Ceballos, 30 of Alexandria, Va., and charged him with shoplifting. Police were initially called to a business on Main Street by store loss prevention officers. Police determined that Ceballos had shoplifted several store items. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court hearing.

The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 14 Medical emergencies during last week. The department investigated 15 motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
