Blotter: Alert Leads Man's Arrest for Manufacturing Marijuana

Police and fire department had originally responded to the building on Walnut Street after a report of a house fire.

On April 23, police arrested Gordon A. Washington, 51 of Madison, and charged him with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and manufacturing with intent to distribute narcotics. Police responded to a report of a house fire at 11 Walnut Street, with the Madison Fire Department. After the fire was brought under control, police determined Washington was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released after posting $2,500 dollars bail, pending a mandatory court appearance. Washington is also the home owner. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Madison Fire Department.

On April 21, police arrested Stephen Kromer, 53 of Madison, and David Kromer, 22 of Madison, and charged them with unlawful possession of assault firearms. The weapons were initially discovered in August when police were called to the Kromer's home on a disturbance. They were taken to police headquarters for processing. After processing they were both released on $100,000 dollars bail pending a mandatory court hearing.

On April 20, police arrested Adam Shakour, 22 of Brooklyn, N.Y., and charged him with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Shakour for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance. Shakour was also issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while using a cell phone.

On April 20, police arrested Ian Titus, 27 of Morristown, and charged him with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Titus for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance. Titus was also issued a motor vehicle summons for a loud muffler.

On April 20, police arrested Ragul , 24 of Morristown, and charged him with defiant trespassing on NJ Transit property. Police initially stopped Qulliay for walking on the railroad tracks. It was determined he was trespassing and intoxicated. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance.

On April 20 police arrested Declan McDougall, 18 of Florham Park, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped the car McDougall was in for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a mandatory court appearance.

On April 20, police arrested five juveniles and charged them with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped the juveniles for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined they were in possession of narcotics. After processing they were released to their parents pending a juvenile mandatory court appearance.

On April 21, police arrested Sean Rivera, 23 of Butler, on the strength of a $580 traffic warrant. Police ran a computer check on Rivera's license plate and were alerted there was an outstanding warrant for him. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance in Elizabeth municipal court.

On April 22, police arrested Kelsey Foley, 20 of Morristown, and charged her with possession of schedule II narcotics, possession of prescription pills not in a proper container, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police initially stopped Foley for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined she was in possession of narcotics. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released pending a mandatory court appearance. Foley was also issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while using a cell phone.

On April 22, police arrested Christopher Haradil, 41 of Avon, and charged him with driving while under the influence. Police initially stopped Haradil for a motor vehicle violation. She determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released to a friend pending a court appearance. Haradil was also issued a motor vehicle summons for crossing a double yellow line.

On April 23, police arrested Michael Eagen, 22 of Wharton, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule I narcotic. Police initially stopped Eagen for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined he was in possession of narcotics. He was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a court appearance. Eagen was also issued a summons for failure to wear a seat belt.

On April 23, police arrested Christine Goncalves, 25, on the strength of a $500 dollar traffic warrant. Police initially stopped Goncalves after they ran a computer check her license plate. Police were altered there was an outstanding warrant. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released after posting bail. She also has a mandatory court appearance in Madison municipal court.

On April 21, police arrested Hanna Musarbash, 22 of Bayonne, on the strength of a $99 traffic warrant. Police initially stopped Musharbash after running a computer check on her license plate. Police were alerted that her driver's license was suspended. She was transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released pending a court appearance in Jersey City municipal court. Musharbush was also issued a motor vehicle summons for driving with a suspended license.

On April 19, police arrested Marissa Suslow, 20 of Hillsborough, and charged her with shoplifting and theft by deception. Detective Haspel and store loss prevention officers conducted a two month investigation which lead to the arrest of Suslow. She was processed at the Somerset County Jail where she is being held on related charges. Bail was set at $5,000 dollars pending a mandatory court appearance.

The Madison Police Department and Volunteer Corps responded to 20 medical emergencies last week. The department investigated 11 motor vehicle crashes during the same period.
