Madison Police Urge Caution After Person Seen in Open Garage
Incident occurred near Hillside Avenue and Green Village Road.
Madison police are asking residents to lock their doors, remove keys from vehicles and report suspicious activity after someone was seen near a vehicle in an open garage Wednesday.
"Male party found near vehicle in open garage of residence," police said in a Nixle alert Wednesday afternoon. "Remember to lock doors & remove keys from vehicle. Report any suspicious activity."
Police replied to a question on their Facebook page saying the incident occurred in the area of Hillside Avenue and Green Village Road.
Detective Lt. Dennis Lam said a housekeeper saw the person in the garage, and the person fled on foot. Police were called about the incident at about 11:30 a.m. No items were reported missing.
