Madison Police Nab E. Hanover Woman Wanted in Five Towns

Traffic stop leads to license computer check, arrest.

A traffic stop last week led to to the arrest of an East Hanover woman on active warrants from five municipal courts.

On April 9 at 2:59 a.m., Madison Ptl. James C. Cavezza arrested Leslie Willoe, 37, on failure to appear warrants issued by municipal courts in Cedar Grove, Boonton Township, Montville, Elmwood Park and Newark, totaling $4,296 in bail.

Cavezza initially stopped Willoe on Route 24 for failure to maintain a lane. He ran a computer check on her license and was alerted that there were multiple warrants for her arrest. She was transported to headquarter for processing.

During the arrest, Cavezza determined that she was also allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. After processing, she was released pending a mandatory court appearance in all municipal courts. Willoe was also issued a motor vehicle summons for driving with a suspended license.
