Madison Police Dept. to Hold Open House, Shredding Event

Public invited for inside look at police operations; securely dispose of personal documents.

The will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Public Safety Complex on Kings Road at Prospect Street. 

The department in a release said that the Open House will provide an inside look into police work in Madison, including the efforts of the Department’s Alcohol and Narcotics Task Force. Attendees will also view the equipment used by the Emergency Services Unit, speak with detectives regarding crime trends in the borough, and receive tours of the facility, vehicles and more. 

The Department along with the will also be co-hosting a paper shredding event during the Open House. The shredding event will raise awareness of the growing problem of identity theft. The event will also raise funds for the Police Department’s D.A.R.E. program and the Volunteer Ambulance Corps, both of which rely on public donations provide essential services to the community. A $10 donation per box or bag would be appreciated but is not required.
