Kings Road Stop Leads to DUI Charge

A 19-year-old Irvington woman originally was pulled over for not signaling, police said.

A 19-year-old Irvington woman who was pulled over on Kings Road around 2:20 a.m. Sunday for allegedly failing to signal was charged with DUI after Madison police determined she allegedly was driving under the influence of alcohol, authorities said.

Isarlene Perez-Melendez was arrested by Patrolman Chad Rybka, who intitially stopped her for failing to signal while turning, according to a news release. She was processed at police headquarters and released to a friend, police said.

Perez-Melendez also was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to signal while turning, according to police.
