Jeep Flips in Two-Car Crash on Green Avenue

Other driver issued summons for failing to stop, police said.

A Jeep flipped after another car crashed into it Sunday morning at the intersection of Green and Hillside avenues in Madison, borough police said.

The Jeep was traveling southbound on Green Avenue when it was struck at about 11 a.m. by a two-door Honda, according to police.

The Honda, driven by Anne McMains, a 77-year-old Madison resident, was traveling westbound on Hillside Avenue, Lt. Joseph Cirella said. McMains was issued a summons for failing to stop, Cirella said.

McMains suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital, police said.

The driver of the Jeep, Carla Owens, a 34-year-old Madison resident, was not injured, according to police.
