Four Apprehended for Underage Alcohol Purchases

Arrests as police lodge buying, possession charges.

Four men from out of town face underage alcohol charges following arrests by .

On May 5 at 8:34 p.m., Ptl. Ken Shannon arrested 22-year-old John Hancock of Freehold and charged him with allegedly purchasing alcohol for underage persons. Shannon also charged Shawn Morales, 19, and Tanner Ogilvie, 20, both of Jackson, N.J., and Damon Mitchell, 19, of Morristown with alleged underage possession of alcohol.

Police said Shannon initially observed the occupants of a vehicle acting suspicious at , then observed the same vehicle at . He determined that Hancock had allegedly purchased liquor for underage persons.

The four were transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance.
