Florham Park Woman Nearly Struck Off-Duty Officer, Cops Say

41-year-old charged with DWI after allegedly ignoring Park Avenue road closure.

A Florham Park woman was allegedly drunk when she ignored a road closure and nearly struck an off-duty cop, Madison Police said.

Devin Kenney, 41, drove around a road closure in the area of Park and Ridgedale avenues on Oct. 31 at about 10:30 p.m., according to a report released by Acting Chief Darren Dachisen.

Off-duty Patrolman Carmine DeCaro was also nearly struck by Kenney's vehicle, the report said. DeCaro was adjusting barrels that were in place to close off a portion of Park Avenue due to downed trees and power lines, the report said.
