DUI Charge for Madison Resident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Madison Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A pair of drunk driving arrests appear on the Madison police blotter this week.

On Sept. 25 at 2:03 a.m. Sgt Peter Iossa arrested 31- year-old Benjamin Reyesbenitez of Madison and charged him with driving under the influence. Iossa initially stopped Reyesbenitez for failure to maintain a lane on Main Street near Cross Street. He determined that he was allegedly operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Reyesbenitez was taken to headquarters for processing and released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Reyesbenitez was also issued a summons for failure to maintain a lane.

On Sept. 24 at 9:33 p.m., Iossa arrested Jack Brown, 68, of Morristown and charged him with driving under the influence. Iossa initially stopped Brown on Madison Avenue for a speeding violation. He determined that he was allegedly operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Brown was taken to headquarters for processing and released to a friend pending a mandatory court appearance. Brown was also issued a summons for speeding.

The , , and responded to 17 medical emergencies during the week. The police investigated nine motor vehicle crashes during the week.
