Driver in Central Avenue Accident Charged with DUI

One of two driving under the influence arrests reported by Madison police this week.

A 58-year-old Florham Park man was charged with DUI after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident at Central Avenue and Elmer Street and police determined he allegedly was driving drunk, police said.

Michael Kozlik was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Thursday by Patrolman Paul Papamarkos, who responded to investigate the accident, according to a news release.

Kozlik was processed at police headquarters and released to a family member pending a court appearance, police said. Sgt. John Keymer assisted with the arrest, according to police.

Failure to signal leads to DUI charge

A 50-year-old Madison man was charged with DUI after he was pulled over on Elm Street for failure to signal and police determined he allegedly was driving drunk, police said.

Dung Nguyen was arrested at 12:45 a.m. Sunday by Patrolman Chad Rybka and charged with driving under the influence, police said.

Nguyen was processed at police headquarters and released to a family member pending a court appearance, according to police. He also was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to signal, police said.
